We have our own venue in North Carlton, which is available for private functions on Saturday and Sunday afternoons or Sunday, Monday, Tuesday nights.  (Groups of under 40 are welcome on other nights, but you would be sharing the venue with the general public.)

We are known for the variety of economical drink deals we offer

1. 6 cocktails for $20  (see range below)

2. If you bring 15 friends into Bar Nothing on any night, you get a free 15-cocktail voucher for use on a future night.

 

PRIVATE FUNCTIONS

For private functions there is no venue hire charge if you reach a target of $600 through the drinks till. Otherwise the balance below $600 must be paid as a venue charge ie. the minimum take through the drinks till is $600.   

The building is a fully licensed 150-year old stables, converted to a bar, but retaining its old world feel, with vaulted Baltic pine ceilings, an open fire, candles, and a relaxed lounge atmosphere. You can provide your own music (minidisk or CD or ipod), and DVD facilities are available if you want to play your own movies.  Finger food is available for $8 to $15 per head, as described on our services/food pages.

Drinks are at our regular bar prices, eg $3.90 per cocktail (please note our 3-cocktails-for-$11 and 6-for-$20 regular bar deals do not apply for private functions) and $3.90 per VB stubbie, etc.

Full tab, partial tab, or "guests pay" options are available. Alternatively you may use any of our mobile catering drinks services described on our services page, instead of using the venue bar - in which case a $100 venue hire fee applies (waived if the attendance is over 70)

Bar Nothing is open to the public from Wednesday to Saturday, 7pm until 1am, if you'd like to check it out first.
